'Wild' or 'Perennial' Rocket is becoming increasingly popular due to its unique characteristics. It features narrower, deeply divided leaves with a more intense, sharp, and clean flavour compared to the annual variety. Unlike regular salad rocket, which can become bitter in hot weather, wild rocket maintains its vibrant taste. Its robust flavour is so bold that it often doesn't require any additional dressing.

As a perennial plant, wild rocket can be sown outdoors throughout the year in milder climates or with some protection in colder areas. Growing to around 20 cm tall, it’s perfect for container gardening. Ideal for use as a baby leaf in salad mixes, it thrives with a "cut and come again" growth pattern, offering two to three harvests. For restaurant-quality microgreens or to make the finest pesto, wild rocket is the preferred choice due to its thinner, darker, and hotter leaves.
