This heirloom corn mix provides a diverse selection of corn varieties, randomly combined into a single packet containing over 25 seeds.​

Growing Instructions and Care for Sweet Corn:

• Sowing Time: Plant seeds in spring after the last frost has passed. In many Australian regions, successive plantings can extend the harvest period until January. ​

• Sowing Method: Direct sow seeds 20-30mm deep in spring or early summer.​

• Spacing: Maintain a plant spacing of 30cm and a row spacing of 75cm.​

• Sunlight and Soil: Sweet corn thrives in full sun and moist, well-drained soil. ​

• Frost Sensitivity: As a frost-tender plant, ensure all frost risk has passed before planting.​

• Plant Height: Plants can grow up to 2 meters tall.​

• Pollination: For optimal pollination and well-filled cobs, plant corn in blocks rather than single rows. ​

• Soil Preparation: Enrich the soil with compost and well-rotted manure before planting to provide necessary nutrients. ​

• Harvesting: Approximately 18 days after silk emergence, check for ripeness. Kernels should release a milky juice when pressed, indicating readiness for harvest.
